Draft for attorney review — not yet final
Privacy policy
Draft date: June 10, 2026
The short version
You paste a document; we analyze it in memory and discard it. We keep no copy. The only personal data we ever store is (a) your email address if you opt in to our mailing list and (b) payment records, which are held by Stripe. We do not sell data, we do not run third-party advertising trackers, and your documents are never used to train any model.
Documents you submit
Text you paste, files you upload, and photos you submit are processed in server memory solely to produce your analysis, then discarded. Files are parsed (and photos OCR'd) on our own servers; the resulting text is shown to you for review. When live AI analysis is enabled, the document text is transmitted to our AI provider (Anthropic) under a configuration intended to ensure it is not retained for or used in model training; we will not enable live analysis without that posture in place. [ATTORNEY: confirm provider DPA terms and accurate description before launch.]
Practical tip we mean sincerely: you may remove your child's name and other identifiers before pasting. The analysis works the same.
Children's information
Advocate is a tool for parents and guardians, not for children, and we do not knowingly collect information from children. Documents you submit about your child are processed and discarded as described above; because we keep no copy, there is no stored child record to access or delete. [ATTORNEY: review COPPA / FERPA-adjacent characterization.]
What we store
Email (opt-in only): if you join the mailing list, your address is stored with our email provider until you unsubscribe (one click, every email).
Payments: handled by Stripe; we see transaction records, not your card number. After purchase, your browser holds a signed unlock cookie (30 days) that contains no personal information.
Operational logs: standard server logs (timestamps, status codes, coarse error info) for security and reliability. We log neither document content nor document length.
Cookies
One functional cookie (the purchase unlock token), set only after checkout or the demo unlock. No advertising cookies, no cross-site tracking.
Your choices and rights
Unsubscribe anytime; ask us to delete your email record; request a copy of the (minimal) data we hold. Depending on where you live you may have additional rights (e.g. under the CCPA or GDPR). Contact: [CONTACT EMAIL]. [ATTORNEY: jurisdiction-specific rights language.]
Changes
We'll post changes here with a new draft date; material changes will be noted prominently on the site.
